Stamp Making  Jackie Hefty  Intergenerational

Develop your personal designs and imagery. Using common household items, found objects, blocks of wood, and more - we will cut, glue, tape, and/or carve textures and designs. Stamps may be used with inks or paint on paper or fabric.  This is appropriate for an adult and child intergenerational experience.  Fri July 22   1 - 4  $45/$5 materials (Adult, 16 and older), $35/$5 materials (Youth, younger than 16)

A little bit of this, a little bit of that;  Fabric Papers!  Come and play - we will have the supplies necessary for this technique for you to explore. Fees cover most consumable materials but you are encouraged to bring a few of your own. Recommendations are available on supply list. Pochoir Stencils (French Stencil technique)  Jackie Hefty  Intergenerational

Pochoir stencils may find their way as book images, decorative paper designs, scrapbooking and/or greeting cards.  A terrific alternative to screen printing and a great way to utilize some less expensive pastels. Simplified images and designs work best as you learn the basics. This is appropriate for an adult and child intergenerational experience.  Adults may choose to cut individual designs, (a good cutting matt and x-acto knife will be necessary) or along with younger participants, may utilize pre-cut designs provided.  Minimal supply list.   Wed Aug 3  1-4:30 $55/$5 materials (Adult, 16 and older), $45/$5 materials  (Youth, younger than 16)

A decorative paper technique with uses in bookmaking, collage, scrapbooking, letterpress printing and card making. Subtle use of swirling colored inks on thin Japanese papers.  This is appropriate for an adult and child intergenerational experience.  Minimal supplies necessary to continue at home.  Thurs  Aug 11,  1-4:30   $55/$10 materials  (Adult, 16 and older), $45/$10 materials (Youth, younger than 16)  

Non-Adhesive Books Jackie Hefty   Intergenerational

No needles or sewing either! One sheet of paper can become a book with the correct folding, creasing and cutting. (Think paper dolls.) We will explore the possibilities of meandering books, accordion books with folded paper covers and a pocket accordion. Bring some decorative papers if you'd like, we will also make a few of our own to use for the books.  This is appropriate for an adult and child intergenerational experience.  Minimal supplies necessary to continue at home.  Sat Aug 20, 1 - 4:30    $55/$10 materials  (Adult, 16 and older), $45/$10 materials (Youth, younger than 16)
