. . perhaps you'd like individual studio time to work, uninterrupted, to be inspired
by nature and respond to your muse. Inquire about day rates today. Does your quartet need an inspiring place to gather
and practice? We've got just the space for you. See a program you'd like to share with
your co-workers, team, church group, scout troop or family? Reserve a date for your group
today. You can bring the potluck too! (Or, have it catered.) A destination type establishment, not a place you would
just happen upon. However, if you find yourself nearby and would like to join a workshop the day before or day of, we encourage
people to call for last minute availability, there may be room for one or two more.
Whispering Woodlands offers
a Working Studio - what do you find necessary for a conducive, working environment? Whispering Woodlands has a variety of
supplies which can be utilized and are covered in the program fee. Various hand tools, limited power tools, sewing machine,
collage items, wood mounted rubber stamps, clear stamps, book press, proof press, letterpress, assortment of fonts ... irons,
blenders, tubs, double stainless steel sink, double tub size laundry sink, ... not to mention the papermaking facilities
in the works for summer '09. Expendable supplies may have additional charges based on either individual or specific program
needs. And Inspiration, it's provided
by nature.

Just off a dead-end rural
gravel road is a place we call Whispering
Woodlands Twelve
acres of rambling woods and meadow call for you to explore, relax, reflect, and draw inspiration from nature.
Let your stress melt away as you come down the
gravel tree-lined driveway and enter nature's retreat. The views are picturesque Wisconsin with a mix of hardwood and evergreen
trees along with the cornfields and pastures of nearby farms. Programs have been developed in the creative arts and nature.
Individuals or groups can come, escape the daily grind, connect with nature, & of course be involved in an interactive
program. We have incorporated the necessary adjustments for accessibility to the studios and some of the natural surroundings,
providing a comfortable setting for all. Leave
feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, revitalized, and enriched. During the lunch break you're invited to wander down to the picnic tables in the meadow or just take
a stroll, following trails and pathways into a variety of wooded areas. Benches and chairs are scattered along the way,
providing opportunities to rest, reflect and relax.

At the helm of Whispering Woodlands is Jackie Hefty. It
is with extensive support and encouragement from family and friends that the opportunity to develop this vision has been made
a reality. Jackie made a major life style change, leaving full time employment, moving her home and enlisting the support
of her terrific family, along with some awesome crews (building, concrete, plumbing, electricity, dry walling, landscaping,
and more) to prepare this environment for your enjoyment and enrichment. Welcome
