Papermaking Intro
In this three hour introductory class you can experience pulp preparation in blenders and better
understand which papers are best for recycling.
You will have the opportunity to do basic sheet
formation, and explore the various processes of collage, embedments, and pulp painting. Many options will be discussed for continuing your papermaking adventures at home.
No experience necessary.

for Intergenerational
Wet, Wild, Refreshing and Fun! Good clean fun with many possibilities.
You will be immersed in the paper making process from start to finish. Experience pulp preparation in blenders and sheet formation
on simple screens. Discover recycling papers, collage, using cookie cutters and molds, along with a little pulp
painting. Suggested items to bring from home, available upon registration, allow you to Recycle, Reuse or Repurpose,
join us as we explore the possibilities of this Green art form. This is appropriate for an adult
and child intergenerational experience. (Adult, 16 and older Youth, younger than 16) 3 - 4 Hours $15 materials

Hand Made Paper (HMP) Casting
A three hour introductory class to handmade paper casting. We will be utilizing commercially
available molds as we learn the process. Better understand pulp preparation as we explore recycling papers and options for adding color to your pulp. You will have the opportunity to create a plaster mold of your own design from a low
relief clay form that allows you to take a paper cast of your design. Many options will be discussed for continuing
your papermaking adventures at home or here at Whispering Woodlands.

Pulp Painting
Continue the papermaking journey
as you explore the possibilities of pulp painting on a larger scale. No longer confined to the mould and deckle, you will
be pouring paper pulp on felts and matts. Individualized pulp preparation will allow for more independent work. Introductory
papermaking highly recommended.

Looking
to our gardens, we will use a variety of pressed flower petals to form beautiful papers. A terrific way to preserve
the beauty of those flower petals from our gardens. Processes include; recycling paper pulp, sheet formation, embedments,
and sheet drying at home. 3 Hours

Once again we will be looking to our gardens, along with harvesting some wild varieties of plant materials
that can be incorporated in the papermaking process. While the fibers are cooking you will prepare and recycle
paper for pulp to be added to the harvested fibers for sheet formation. (Consider your individual choices for incorporating collage,
embedments, pulp painting, and more - the possibilities are endless.) Previous papermaking experience preferred.
